      The development of an inclusive environment continues in Kazan. Specialized centers operate in the city, and sports, entertainment and adaptation events are held for people with disabilities. This was reported at the business Monday at city hall by Azat Abzalov, deputy head of the executive committee for social affairs.

      There are currently four inclusive centers open in Kazan. The newest, "Vmeste" ("Together"), began operating in August. It is now attended by 116 children, not all of whom have disabilities.

      In September, the second supported living apartment of the non-profit organization "Blagodaryu" began operating. The main goal of such apartments is to give people with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to live outside institutions and adapt to society. Currently, "Blagodaryu" supports 11 people.

      Coworking spaces help consolidate social and professional adaptation. In particular, the "Dobroy Kazani" coworking space at Sechenova St., 5 trains and employs people with disabilities. Today 37 people attend there; almost a third are already employed, including in the chains "Vkusno i Tochka", "Magnit" and "Pyaterochka".

      Inclusive public spaces have been organized on Serova Street, where people with mental disabilities can take part in various activities and, for example, rent special bicycles.
