The Bank of Russia identified 17 illegal organizations operating in Tatarstan's financial market during the first nine months of 2025.
The National Bank for the Republic of Tatarstan reported that from January to September 2025, 17 organizations operating in the financial market with violations were identified in the republic. These included 13 entities showing signs of illegal lending, one financial pyramid and three companies that illegally attracted citizens’ funds. All collected materials have been handed over to law enforcement agencies.
The Central Bank reminds that only those companies permitted by law may publicly attract investments: banks, brokers, management companies, leasing and construction organizations, consumer societies and enterprises issuing securities. Investment activity may also be carried out by entities under the supervision of the Bank of Russia and their official intermediaries.
The regulator emphasizes that illegal investment offers come both from outright fraudulent projects and from representatives of small and medium-sized businesses who try to attract money directly without complying with legal requirements. Such actions are subject to liability.
Residents are advised to carefully study the terms of financial services before signing any contracts and to be sure to check the chosen company in the registers on the Bank of Russia’s website.
