Kazan has been recognized as the best city for event tourism in 2025.
Kazan became the winner in the nomination "Best City for Event Tourism 2025" of the International Russian Event Awards. This was reported by the press service of the mayor's office of the capital of Tatarstan.
The solemn awards ceremony took place on November 28 in Nizhny Novgorod.
By receiving the top prize of the prestigious award, the capital of Tatarstan once again confirmed its status as one of Russia's most attractive tourist centers. A total of 473 projects from 63 regions of the country, as well as from Belarus and South Ossetia, participated in the competition.
Two projects from Kazan also became laureates of the award. The festival "Night Velofest" took third place in the category "Best Event in the Field of Patriotic Tourism." In 2025 the bike rally route was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland, and about 4,000 people from various regions of Russia took part in it.
Another award was received by the Kazan Kremlin project "Revived Legends and Tales" – the theatrical festival won in the nomination "Best Street Theatrical Performance and Carnival."
