      On World AIDS Day, a meeting was held at the Municipal Budgetary Institution "Center for Psychological and Pedagogical Assistance to Children and Youth 'Logos'" with students of Municipal Budgetary General Education Institution "Secondary School No. 6".

      At the beginning, the director of the Logos Center, Olga Viktorovna Yashchenko, spoke. She greeted the students, emphasized the relevance of the topic for today's youth, and identified the key goal of our dialogue — to dispel myths and provide reliable knowledge that saves lives and fosters a responsible attitude toward one's health.

      Specialists from the Leninogorsk Central District Hospital spoke to the students: Tikhonova Dina Viktorovna, epidemiologist; Akhmetova Alyona Nikolaevna, assistant to the epidemiologist.

      The aims and objectives were clear:

      - Inform adolescents about routes of HIV transmission and prevention.

      - Convey the idea that HIV is not a death sentence but a chronic disease, control of which depends on early diagnosis and treatment.

      - Break down false stereotypes and stigma surrounding people living with HIV.

      - Motivate safe and informed behavior and regular testing.

      The specialists did not just talk — they visually demonstrated the full medical arsenal for safe procedures. The students saw for themselves why all syringes, catheters and instruments must be sterile and single-use — this is one of the cornerstones of prevention.

      To reinforce the material, a themed video was shown, and at the end of the meeting each participant received an informational booklet that will help retain the key information.
