The option to obtain an electronic pension certificate appeared on a Russian service as part of the life situation "Retirement." A digital certificate can be used in various institutions to confirm pensioner status and to receive social, transport, and medical benefits, as well as discounts and special offers in retail chains and organizations participating in programs to support people of retirement age. This was reported by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation — Head of the Government Office Dmitry Grigorenko, who oversees the implementation of the federal project "State for the People."
"Today, older people actively use online services and have skills in working in a digital environment. For their comfort and to save time, in 2024 we launched on Gosuslugi a life situation that allows you to submit an application for retirement, calculate the amount of payments and choose a delivery method in a few clicks. Now the functionality of the life situation has been expanded and allows you to obtain a certificate," said Dmitry Grigorenko.
The new service supplemented the functionality of the life situation "Retirement," which since its launch in 2024 has already been used by more than 500 thousand citizens across the country. The catalog of life situations on the Gosuslugi portal includes more than 40 federal life situations. By the end of 2025 their number will grow to 70, the Government of the Russian Federation reports.
