      Today in Zainsk a memorial plaque was installed for Special Military Operation participant Niyaz Ilyasovich Kharrasov, who died while carrying out combat missions. The plaque is placed on the house where the hero lived. The ceremony was attended by deputy head of the city of Zainsk Sergey Maksimov, chairman of the district Veterans Council Alexey Alekseev, a specialist-expert from the military commissariat, SMO veteran Georgy Borisov, the deceased’s brother and sister, as well as city residents. “Our task is to perpetuate the memory of the warriors. Today all our thoughts are directed toward victory. And our brave warriors, who gave their lives for this great goal, for the peaceful life and prosperity of our country, deserve special respect. Niyaz Ilyasovich is an example of courage and resilience for all of us. His feat will forever remain in our hearts,” said Deputy Head of the city Sergey Maksimov in his speech. Alexey Alekseev, Georgy Borisov, and Niyaz’s sister also spoke to those gathered. The assembled honored the soldier’s memory with a minute of silence and laid flowers.

      Niyaz Kharrasov was born and raised in Zainsk and attended School No. 4. After serving in the army he moved to Kazan. The family, which raised four children, lived in house No. 85 on Nikiforov Street. Niyaz was the eldest child. On October 28, 2022, he was drafted under mobilization for the Special Military Operation. Corporal of a motorized rifle squad Niyaz Ilyasovich heroically died on November 21, 2024 while fulfilling his military duty on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic. He was buried on December 5, 2024 at the cemetery in the Mirny microdistrict. For courage and valor shown in battle, he was awarded the medals “For Military Valor,” “For Courage,” and “For Bravery” (posthumously).
