The fashion for baby names in Tatarstan demonstrates enviable stability. Based on the results of 2025, parents most often named their children Amir and Amina. These names have held the lead for the second year running, according to data from the "ZAGS Registry" portal.
Following Amina in the top five were Aylin, Sofia, Emilia and Yasmina. Among boys, the top spots in the popularity ranking were shared by Timur, Mark, Miron and Matvey.
However, the first weeks of the new 2026 year suggest a possible trend toward a change of favorites. According to preliminary data, at the moment names such as Aliya and Emil are leading.
