A 37-year-old resident of Kazan fell victim to a scam while attempting to purchase red caviar. It was preliminarily established that the man saw an advertisement in one of the messengers offering the delicacy at a bargain price. After corresponding with the "seller," he was invited to a closed group in the messenger to place an order with delivery. As a condition of the deal, full payment had to be made. The man transferred more than 6,000 rubles, after which contact with the sellers ceased. Realizing he had been deceived, he contacted the police. The Kazan police warn to be careful: do not disclose PIN codes and bank card details to strangers, and make purchases only from reliable stores after first checking the seller’s reputation.
