An ancient residential building in the Art Nouveau style on Telman Street in Kazan will be restored. This concerns the Perelshtein Mansion, the restoration project of which has already been approved.
The RT Committee for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites has agreed on the project documentation, which involves restoration work on the regional heritage monument located at 24 Telman Street. This was reported by "Tatar-inform," citing data from the agency's press service. The building in question is a two-story structure in the Art Nouveau style, built in 1908 and owned by N.L. Perelshtein. The house itself features expressive architecture from the early last century: its facade is adorned with five light openings, a side passage arch, and a massive balcony with deep rustication. The building's charm is enhanced by stucco decorations consisting of floral and geometric patterns, as well as profiled window sills and decorative niches. According to the committee, the restoration project involves the complete restoration of all lost details and careful preservation of the historical elements that decorate the building. It is known that the building was originally used as a private house with separate rooms and spaces, but after 1947, it was reconfigured to accommodate several communal apartments. One of the goals of the planned work is to preserve this unique object for history. It was previously reported that a cultural heritage site – the "House of P. M. Sushentsov," built in 1904, is for sale in Kazan, located at 24 Gorky Street. The price of the architectural monument is 82 million rubles, and the sale announcement has been posted on a free classifieds platform.
