      Today, a meeting of the republican headquarters for preventing the penetration and spread of infectious, including particularly dangerous, animal diseases on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan was held at the Ministry, chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, Lenar Garipov. The heads of the Departments of Agriculture and Food in municipal districts, heads of state veterinary associations in cities and districts, heads of rural settlements, leaders of pig and poultry enterprises and farms, and entrepreneurs participated via videoconference. "Due to a significant deterioration in the situation regarding infectious animal diseases in the Russian Federation, we are holding an extraordinary meeting of the Republican headquarters to prevent particularly dangerous animal diseases today," noted Lenar Garipov. The First Deputy Minister urged the heads of agricultural enterprises and owners of personal subsidiary farms to ensure and strictly adhere to veterinary and sanitary norms for keeping animals, establish a closed regime for their maintenance, ensure biological protection, carry out disinfection of vehicles, and organize the work of sanitary checkpoints. He also called for monitoring all individuals who visit livestock complexes. "Heads of municipal formations need to organize a place for the temporary holding (quarantine) of animals at least 5 kilometers away from livestock facilities," emphasized the first deputy. Timur Galeev, head of the Main Veterinary Department of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke about the epizootic situation in the Russian Federation and measures to prevent the introduction and spread of particularly dangerous and infectious animal diseases. Such diseases pose a significant risk to the economy of the republic, as they cause serious material damage to enterprises and farms. Ilnur Galeev, head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance for the Republic of Tatarstan, discussed the measures being taken to biologically protect enterprises from the introduction of particularly dangerous and infectious animal diseases. In conclusion, Lenar Garipov also instructed to impose a temporary ban on the import of all types of hoofed animals into the republic until further notice, except for breeding animals, and also urged the heads of agricultural organizations to take measures to ensure the population has access to bulls up to 6 months of age.
