Navruz in Tatar. Saralakh: a tradition that unites
In the Tatsaralovo rural settlement, the celebration of Navruz is a vibrant ritual restoration of the connection between man, nature, and time. Naile Ziganšina tells about how Navruz was celebrated in Tat. Saralah. Residents gathered in an open square to bid farewell to winter: traditional porridge was cooked in a huge cauldron, fragrant tea was poured from a samovar, and tables were filled with sweets, pies, and other culinary creations baked according to recipes passed down from generation to generation. Children and adults performed folk songs and dances, and games reminded of ancient rituals that have remained part of everyday life. The spring holiday of Navruz was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the Tatarskosaralovo rural settlement. Residents and guests gathered to say goodbye to winter and welcome the long-awaited awakening of nature. Guests were treated to a traditional festive dish—porridge cooked in a large cauldron—as well as fragrant tea from a samovar with national sweets. The festive atmosphere was supported by cheerful folk games, as well as bright performances by children and adults. At the end of the celebration, everyone wished each other peace, good health, and well-being, expressing hope for the next Navruz to be celebrated under a peaceful sky.
