      Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Alexey Gordeev and Acting Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov visited the Agro-Industrial Park "Kazan". Marat Akhmetov informed the vice-speaker of the lower house of the Russian parliament about the agricultural potential of the republic.

      The Agro-Industrial Park "Kazan" is the first multifunctional complex built for agricultural producers and farmers to showcase and sell their products, while residents of the republic can purchase natural and quality food products at competitive prices. In 2013 (during its launch), the Agro-Industrial Park project was a pilot for Russia.

      Today, all necessary infrastructure for agricultural producers and buyers has been created here. A unified technological chain "from field to counter" has been implemented on one site, without intermediaries. Under one roof, on an area of 50,000 sq. m. (the total area of the park is 8.5 hectares), 257 residents operate, creating over 800 jobs. The total area of the trading halls is 14,000 sq. m, accommodating 440 trading places. In addition, a fairground operates. The production area occupies 6,500 sq. m, housing 18 processing workshops. Daily veterinary inspections of all products arriving at the counters are conducted.

      Alexey Gordeev interacted with sellers and buyers, assessed the range of goods presented, and inspected the trading halls and production workshops.
