      The Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Alexey Gordeev, arrived in Kazan on a working visit. This was reported by the press service of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. At Kazan International Airport named after Gabdulla Tukay, the vice-speaker of the lower house of the Russian parliament was met by the acting Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan, Marat Akhmetov. The key goal of Alexey Gordeev's visit is to participate in the All-Russian XXXVII Congress of the Association of Peasant (Farm) Enterprises and Agricultural Cooperatives of Russia, which will take place tomorrow. It is planned that the congress will gather 600 delegates and participants from 67 regions of the country, including heads of farms, leaders of cooperative associations, and representatives of the scientific community. The focus will be on issues of further development of farming and cooperation, implementation of strategic tasks for increasing agricultural production volumes, and preservation of rural areas. In addition, Alexey Gordeev plans to visit the Kazan Agro-Industrial Park and the Tatar State Academic Theater named after Galiaskar Kamal to familiarize himself with the agricultural and cultural potential of Tatarstan.
