In Tetyushi, they discussed children's safety: from roads to social networks.
In Tetyushi, a large parent meeting took place at the District House of Culture, where participants focused on one of the most pressing topics — the safety of children in the modern world. On March 30, 2026, an event for parents and educators of the Tetyushsky district was held. The theme of the meeting was protecting the younger generation from threats lurking on the roads, on the internet, near water, and in everyday life. Today, the range of potential threats has noticeably expanded. Parents and educators have to consider many factors: road safety; risks in the digital environment; the specifics of safe behavior during the spring period; health issues. As the speakers noted, ensuring the protection of children can only be achieved through joint efforts — the roles of authorities, educators, and, above all, parents are important here. Special attention was given by the meeting participants to the republican campaign "Spring Holidays," which runs from March 23 to April 5. Within the framework of the event, additional safety measures are being introduced: mandatory control over the presence of reflective elements on children's clothing; a ban on minors' access to car and motorcycle keys. The organizers emphasized: these requirements are not a formality, but necessary measures to preserve the life and health of the younger generation. The meeting warned about a growing problem: children are increasingly being drawn into fraudulent schemes through social networks. Experts urged parents to pay special attention to cybersecurity and to instill in children the basics of "cyber hygiene" — just as consistently as the habit of brushing their teeth. Parents were recommended to: monitor the use of bank cards; keep track of password security; discuss with children the rules of communication with strangers on the internet.
Additional discussion topics
During the meeting, a pediatrician from the central district hospital dispelled common myths about vaccination. Participants also discussed the effectiveness of parent committees and outlined plans for their further activities.
Experts are unanimous: the safety of children cannot be "partial" or "someone else's." Every parent is responsible for ensuring that their child: safely gets to school and back; avoids dangerous places (for example, thin ice); does not become a victim of fraud. A few simple steps to take today: Spend 10 minutes in the evening talking to your child about safety. Check if there are reflective elements on their clothing and explain why they are needed. Inquire about which apps and social networks they use. Contact the class teacher to learn about additional safety measures at school. "The number of risks is growing, but our responsibility must grow faster," emphasized Gulnara Kirilina, head of the District Education Department. Let’s work together to ensure that our children's weekdays and holidays are not only rich and interesting but also as safe as possible!
