      On April 3, the Youth Day took place at the Kazan International Electric Power Forum "ENERGOPROM." The business program included 22 events in an interactive format of open dialogue between youth and representatives of the Ministry of Energy of Russia and energy companies. At the ceremonial opening, Deputy Ministers of Energy of Russia Eduard Sheremetyev and Roman Marshavin, as well as the rector of Kazan State Energy University Edward Abdullazyanov, addressed the participants with welcoming words. There was also a solemn ceremony for awarding certificates to participants of the international internship INTE-RUSSIA — a program for specialists from energy ministries and leading universities in Africa. This internship is being held for the second time and is implemented by KGEU with international partners. This year, the program brought together 10 specialists from energy companies and ministries from Ethiopia, South Africa, Zambia, Nigeria, Morocco, and Egypt. Additionally, a plenary session of the youth day titled "From Shukhov to Modernity: The Greatness of Russian Engineering Thought" took place. The event was attended by the Minister of Energy of Russia Sergey Tsivilev, the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Oleg Korobchenko, high school students, students from energy classes supervised by energy companies, as well as energy college students and others.

      During the session, participants discussed the history of the Russian engineering school and modern achievements in the energy sector. The conversation revolved around the profession of an engineer and the opportunities available to young specialists. The meeting also addressed the prospects of the energy industry and presented what the engineer-energy specialist of the future might look like.
