      From April 9 to 13, the international and all-Russian karate competition "Ak Bars Cup" will take place at the Ak Bars Martial Arts Palace in Kazan. More than 2000 athletes from 16 countries will participate in the tournament. The "Ak Bars Cup" has been held in Kazan since 2011 and has established itself as one of the best tournaments in Russia in terms of organization and competition level. Last year, the competition gathered 2200 participants from 50 regions of Russia and 16 countries. This year, representatives from Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Abkhazia, Bangladesh, Mali, Guinea, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, and Turkey will come to the tournament. As part of the competition, on April 9, there will be a master class for athletes from silver medalist of the Olympic Games and current world champion in karate Eray Samdan (Turkey), as well as a coaching and judging seminar led by the chairman of the judging committee of the Karate Federation of Russia, international category referee Alexey Sorokin.
