The overall wear of the thermal networks of "Tatenergo" reaches 61%.
The overall wear of the thermal networks of JSC "Tatenergo" is 61%, with the highest level recorded in the city of Nizhnekamsk. This was stated today at the regular meeting of the company's board of directors, chaired by the Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Alexey Pesoshin, reports the press service of Rais RT. The planned volume of pipeline replacement for thermal networks in 2026 for "Tatenergo" corresponds to the level of the past two years. The replacement will mainly involve pipes from the Nizhnekamsk thermal networks, including through the federal program for the modernization of communal infrastructure. However, despite the annual planned replacement of engineering networks, there is an increase in operational damages due to the wear of the company's thermal networks. Last year, two incidents were recorded at hazardous production facilities of the thermal networks (Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny). There were 2308 cases of damage (operational and as a result of hydraulic tests) on the thermal networks themselves. The increase compared to 2024 is explained by the high level of damage to the pipelines of the Nizhnekamsk thermal networks. Over the year, there were 64 accidents at "Tatenergo" generation facilities in the electric power industry, which corresponds to the level of 2024. The relatively high accident rate is associated with the increased load on the stations, caused by "high equipment failure rates in the south and frequent outages of power plants in the western territories of the country." Alongside this, there is a noted lag in updating the main equipment of power plants in Russia, leading to the depletion of the equipment resource and a decrease in its reliability. The majority of the country's stations were built in the 1960s and 1970s. Accordingly, their resources are either running out or have already run out almost simultaneously, leading to the need for constant and expensive repairs. As a result, there is a high level of accidents at the Zainsk GRES and Naberezhnye Chelny CHPP with a significant increase in electricity generation by branches since 2024. In 2025, capital and medium repairs of 28 units of main equipment of electric stations were planned and completed. For the current year, it is planned to overhaul 29 units of equipment: nine energy boilers, eight steam and gas turbines, seven generators, three hydroaggregates, and two power transformers. The total funding volume for 2025 was 3 billion 926 million rubles.
