Training in working with AI will begin in 100 schools and 35 colleges in Tatarstan.

      In 100 schools in Tatarstan, clubs will be opened to teach students how to work with artificial intelligence. Corresponding programs will be launched in 35 colleges. This was reported by the Deputy Minister of Digital Development of State Administration, Information Technologies, and Communications of Tatarstan, Bulat Gabdrakhmanov, at a meeting of the State Council Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on Economics, Investments, and Entrepreneurship. "The training of schoolchildren will begin in September. For this, 623 computer science teachers will undergo advanced training during the summer period before the start of the corresponding classes in schools. This also applies to college educators," he said. The driver of economic development worldwide today is artificial intelligence, emphasized the Deputy Minister of Digital Development. "At the global level, Russia currently ranks only 30th in the use and development of artificial intelligence. Nevertheless, Tatarstan already has the groundwork for the practical implementation of artificial intelligence," he noted. However, according to Gabdrakhmanov, these solutions are still point-based and require scaling. That is why a program for the development of artificial intelligence until 2030 has been adopted in the republic. Its budget is 5 billion rubles. "The program covers four key blocks. In terms of infrastructure development, it is planned to increase computing power by 30 times. This includes applied projects - the implementation of AI agents in all key sectors of the economy to optimize processes. This involves personnel - training under the AI program starting from the fifth grade, as well as for students. And science. It is planned to create two artificial intelligence laboratories annually," concluded the Deputy Minister of Digital Development.
