Almost 20,000 children rested in camps during the spring break in Tatarstan.
The results of the spring health campaign of 2026 were summarized in Tatarstan. According to the press service of the republican Ministry of Youth Affairs, from March 27 to April 5, 19,747 children participated in rest and health activities. The campaign covered 298 institutions in 24 municipal areas of the republic, as well as two camps outside its borders – the children's health camp "Ilet" in Mari El and the youth center "Selet-Ak Bars" in Crimea. During the holidays, various programs were organized for children: creative workshops, art and music studios, sports sections, and science clubs. This format allowed everyone to choose activities according to their interests and spend time productively. Year-round camps continue to play a special role in the recreation system, where children can actively spend their holidays throughout the year. Special attention was paid to supporting children in difficult life situations. As part of the campaign, rest was provided for 1,544 children from mobilized families, as well as 154 children in challenging life circumstances. The Minister of Youth Affairs of Tatarstan, Azat Kadyrov, reported that the campaign was conducted at a high level. According to him, it was possible to organize rest for a significant number of children, including those who particularly need support. He specified that the program involved 47 stationary camps, where 6,074 children rested, and 251 school day camps, which were attended by 13,673 children. In addition, 109 children spent a shift at the sea: it took place from March 28 to April 4, and they returned to Tatarstan on the night of April 6-7. The director of the republican center "Summer," Nina Shimina, noted the importance of year-round facilities. She mentioned that two camps operate within the center – "Dobry" and "Miras-Inheritance," where 274 children rested in the spring. Various programs were prepared for participants: in "Miras-Inheritance," the shift traditionally involved scouts from Tatarstan, while in the "Dobry" camp, children not only studied but also practically got acquainted with the "Good Tatarstan" project. According to her, work to improve the conditions for children's recreation will continue so that as many children as possible can spend their holidays productively and interestingly. Organizing children's recreation and creating conditions for the comprehensive development of children aligns with the objectives of the national project "Youth and Children."
