On April 18, a unified open house day will take place in all clusters of the federal project "Professionalism." This was reported by the MAX channel of the Government of the Russian Federation. It is expected that more than 970,000 school students from grades 8-11 will visit colleges and enterprises along with their parents. Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, referring to the position of President of Russia Vladimir Putin, noted that the system of secondary vocational education must be effective, focused on national development goals, and meet the demands of the real sector of the economy. According to him, the federal project "Professionalism," which is part of the national project "Youth and Children," continues to develop actively: 95 more clusters are planned to be opened in September, and their total number has already reached 601 in almost all regions of the country. He added that on the open house day, students and their parents will be able to determine their future profession and assess employment prospects at enterprises. The "Professionalism" project unites 1,730 colleges and technical schools in 86 regions of Russia. More than 2 million students are enrolled in them, and over 3,000 employer companies are involved in training personnel. More than 3,500 excursions to enterprises will be organized for school students. Over 13,000 professional trials will take place in colleges and technical schools, where future applicants can try their hand at various specialties. Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov expressed confidence that a conscious choice of profession is only possible with personal acquaintance with it. He explained that the unified open house day provides such an opportunity: students and their parents will be able to see modern workshops, communicate with teachers and company representatives. In his opinion, such meetings help to better understand the labor market and choose an in-demand profession.
In addition, more than 8,400 class hours titled "Professionalism: You Are in Good Company!" are planned in schools. During these hours, college students will talk about the advantages of education, career opportunities, and present career maps.
