As reported by the acting head of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of Tatarstan, Ayrat Samigullin, at a meeting of the Government Commission of the Republic of Tatarstan on ensuring road safety, more than 3,500 administrative offense cases have already been initiated using this system since the beginning of the year. Another 309 notifications about traffic violations are currently under review by the traffic police. The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan — Head of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Deputy Chairman of the Government Commission of the Republic of Tatarstan on ensuring road safety, Shamil Gafarov. Ayrat Samigullin noted that the "People's Inspector" creates a constant monitoring effect over road traffic participants, and this system proves its effectiveness. According to him, the work on reviewing notifications is under daily control of the agency. The acting head of the traffic police of Tatarstan emphasized that there is a particular dynamics demonstrated by the increase in citizen appeals. If less than 3,000 notifications were received in the first two months of the year, then only in March and early April, their number approached 4,000. This surge in activity, according to Ayrat Samigullin, is related to the effective promotion of the system in the media in collaboration with "Tatmedia." He added that this work needs to continue further to maintain a high level of engagement of the residents of the republic in monitoring road safety.
