In Tatarstan, the educational program "Constructive Dialogue" has concluded. More than 10,000 people have been trained in digital hygiene and methods to counteract recruitment. The results of the large-scale educational program "Constructive Dialogue," aimed at preventing extremism and terrorism among youth, have been summarized in Tatarstan. According to the office of the Republic's anti-terrorist commission, the series of events took place from March 10 to April 17 and covered all 45 municipal entities in the region. A total of nearly 11,000 people participated in 128 meetings, including schoolchildren, students, their parents, and educators.
The implementation of the project was a response to the growing threats in the digital space, where destructive groups increasingly attempt to involve teenagers in illegal activities. The program was launched at the request of the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, who tasked ensuring maximum awareness among youth about the criminal nature of terrorism and the manipulation methods used by offenders.
Ildus Garaev, head of the anti-terrorist commission office in Tatarstan, emphasized that the main goal of the initiative is to form a sustainable anti-terrorist mindset among the younger generation. According to him, a systematic approach, which involves conducting two outreach tours annually, allows for regular information dissemination to citizens about risks and helps develop immunity to destructive influences.
Particular attention within the program was paid to issues of digital security. Participants studied the rules for protecting personal data, learned to recognize fraudulent schemes, and identify signs of recruitment on social networks. To reinforce skills, the organizers used interactive tools such as the "Cyberquestor" platform and held case championships where participants analyzed real situations related to bullying and manipulation.
The practical part of the training included specialized quizzes and workshops adapted for different age groups. For parents and educators, a case championship titled "NOT a Victim of Circumstances," based on real events, was developed to help adults learn to notice alarming changes in children's behavior in a timely manner. The project is being implemented with the support of a grant from the President of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, and relevant youth organizations in the republic.
