       The share of residents of the republic among the total number of submitted applications was 8 percent, and the average amount of approved credit in Tatarstan is about 796.4 thousand rubles.

       Tatarstan ranked fourth in the number of credit applications in Russia, analysts from "Sravni" reported. The share of loans among the residents of the republic accounted for 8 percent of the nationwide total. Just in the first few months of the current year, financial organizations in the region, on average, approved the issuance of almost 800 thousand rubles at a time. Most often, borrowers need a consumer loan – "just money" for repairs, small purchases, medical treatment, and more. The approval rate in Tatarstan reached eight percent. In the overall ranking, the republic fell behind three leaders – Moscow, Krasnodar Krai, and St. Petersburg. The top-5 is rounded out by Sverdlovsk Oblast. On average across the country, the amount of a single loan is 26.6 thousand rubles, which is issued for a term of 61 days. According to analysts, the maximum requested credit reaches 300 thousand rubles. At the same time, as noted earlier, interest among the residents of Tatarstan in microfinance organizations is growing against the backdrop of decreasing availability of bank loans. However, as experts previously calculated, Tatarstan is among the top-5 regions of the Russian Federation in terms of the number of self-imposed bans on loans. It was previously reported that at the beginning of 2026, the average credit rating of Tatarstan residents was 738 points, which is one point lower than in the same month last year. It should be noted that by the end of 2025, the credit rating of Tatarstan residents remained at 737 points, with this indicator the republic ranked 16th in Russia. In January 2026, 76.4 thousand loans were issued in Tatarstan for a total amount of 28.7 billion rubles.
