Meeting in Kazan: youth policy and projects of the Volga Federal District in Tatarstan

      On April 22, a meeting was held in Kazan under the chairmanship of Oleg Mashkovtsev, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Volga Federal District (PFO), where issues of youth policy implementation and public projects in the Volga Federal District on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan were discussed. The meeting was attended by Leila Fazleeva, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as heads of republican executive authorities responsible for education and science, sports, culture, youth policy, labor, employment, and social protection, as well as representatives of federal and regional educational organizations. During the meeting, a detailed assessment of the work with youth carried out in Tatarstan was provided, the results achieved in various areas of educational activities were announced, and ways to improve the quality of work with youth within the framework of public projects in the Volga Federal District were identified. The region ranks among the top three in the district in terms of respect for traditional values, patriotism, and state symbols of Russia. 84% of young Tatars believe in the availability of opportunities for self-realization in the country – this is a high level of trust in the state. At the same time, the region faces challenges in increasing the accessibility of young people's participation in public projects and other forms of self-realization. "For us, it is more important not to achieve final places in rankings, but to create equal opportunities for youth in cities and remote areas – this is the instruction of the plenipotentiary representative that needs to be implemented," emphasized Oleg Mashkovtsev. The Republic of Tatarstan has shown high results in district projects such as "FormArt," "Theatrical Volga," district tournaments among amateur student teams, and others. The region's work to support the search movement and student brigades was also particularly noted at the meeting. Participants were tasked with increasing coverage and results of participation in the Sports and Tourism Camp of the PFO "Turiada" and youth military-patriotic gatherings "Guardsman." Oleg Mashkovtsev thanked the leadership of the Republic for the high level of organization of the forum "Constructive," which has become a district event since last year. Its theme "Counteracting destructive behavior among youth" is extremely in demand in educational work.
