In Tatarstan, it is planned to change the format of support for teachers of the native (Tatar) language and literature. Instead of grants, they will receive monetary rewards for preparing winners and prize-winners of specialized Olympiads. This is stated in the explanatory note to the draft resolution of the RT Cabinet, which is undergoing anti-corruption expertise. The draft document was prepared after the decision to revise the mechanism of this support measure. The initiative was approved by the President of Tatarstan on February 3, 2026. The essence of the changes lies in the transition from a grant system to direct monetary payments. At the same time, the program itself remains: rewards will be given to teachers whose students have shown high results in republican Olympiads in the Tatar language and literature or in the International Olympiad in the Tatar language. Payments will be awarded on a competitive basis. The amount of the reward will be 115,000 rubles. Each year, 13 teachers will be able to receive it.
