      A student of Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov represented the university with dignity at a prestigious foreign language Olympiad among international students. The representative from the near abroad, Lolazoda Shabnam Akmal from Tajikistan, took an honorable 3rd place in a tough competitive struggle. The event gathered students from various universities and took place in two stages. In the first stage, participants had to complete an individual written test, and in the second, demonstrate teamwork skills and oratory during a discussion on a given topic. Lolazoda represented her team and, despite the fact that she was effectively representing the university alone ("it was only me from our university"), made a decisive contribution to the overall success. As a result of the competition in the "Near Abroad" category among 1st and 2nd-year students, her team took 3rd place. The student herself noted that the test was not difficult, and participating in the Olympiad was a valuable experience. "It was a good experience, thank you for offering me the opportunity to participate. It’s nice to know that I was able to represent my university at such an inter-university event," shared her emotions Lolazoda Shabnam Akmal. A separate pleasant event at the award ceremony was the meeting with Leisan Gizetdinova, who also participated in the Olympiad but in a different category.
