The Central Election Commission of Russia approved the form of the ballot for the State Duma elections.
The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation has approved the form of the ballot for voting in the elections for deputies of the State Duma of the ninth convocation. This was reported by the CEC of Tatarstan. Considering the application of a mixed electoral system, voters in the country will receive two ballots in the elections to the State Duma of Russia: one for the federal electoral district (party lists) and one for single-member electoral districts. As noted by the Chairman of the CEC of Tatarstan, Andrey Kondratiev, in Tatarstan, ballots are traditionally made in two state languages – Russian and Tatar. "This is a legal requirement aimed at making the voting procedure as clear and convenient as possible for each voter," he emphasized. According to Andrey Kondratiev, in accordance with the resolution of the CEC of Russia, ballots for the Duma elections will be printed on white paper with a protective background grid: light blue for voting in the federal district; light green for voting in single-member electoral districts. The protection of the ballot will also be ensured by microfont – small text printed typographically in the form of a line, which is difficult to read without special equipment. This will minimize the likelihood of ballot forgery and ensure the required security.
