Exhibition "A View of the World" by KIU Associate Professor Polina Ilyushkina Opens in Kazan

      The grand opening of the art exhibition "A View of the World" by Polina Ilyushkina, Associate Professor of the Department of Design at Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, and orientalist painter, took place at the "Shtab-Expo" exhibition space of the "United Russia" Public Support Headquarters. The exhibition, organized with the support of the Russian Society "Knowledge", is timed to coincide with the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and has become a significant cultural event, uniting representatives of different professions, ages, and nationalities. The head of the Public Support Headquarters, Kamil Sadriev, addressed the guests with a welcoming speech. He emphasized that the exhibition raises themes of universal human values that are understandable regardless of nationality or religion, and noted the unifying role of art. Among the distinguished guests at the opening ceremony were the Consul General of the Republic of India in Kazan, Mr. Jayasundhar; the Consul of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kazan, Hossein Mansour; a representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kazan, Alexander Yagoshin; a deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, Irina Terentyeva; as well as municipal deputy Ksenia Dromnyak. Also present at the event were Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Lidia Ilyushkina and representatives of the Kh.A. Yakupov Children's Art School No. 1.

      The musical highlight of the evening was a performance by Cesaria Said, a soloist of the House of Friendship of Peoples of Tatarstan, who performed a medley in 12 languages, symbolically emphasizing the idea of cultural diversity and unity. In her speech, Irina Terentyeva noted that Polina Ilyushkina's portraits go beyond academic art and reflect the destinies of the people who shape society and the state. The exhibition presents a series of portraits painted from life in Tatarstan, Russia, and abroad. The artist's focus is on real people: representatives of working professions, science, culture, and art. The author deliberately avoids generalized images, creating deep and individual artistic portrayals. As Polina Ilyushkina noted, each portrait is the story of a person and their contribution to a common cause. The works reflect the interconnection of labor and creativity, everyday life and art, which forms the foundation for the development of society. Special attention in the exhibition is given to images of workers — people whose professional activities contribute to the development of the region and the country. Alongside them, portraits of representatives of creative professions and guardians of cultural heritage are presented. The exhibition "A View of the World" serves as a platform for reflecting on values and the role of the individual in society, demonstrating how the diversity of destinies and talents forms a unified cultural space. The exhibition can be viewed until April 17 at the address: Kazan, 31/7 Karla Marksa Street. The exhibition is open on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
