      In the capital of Tatarstan, a tender has been announced for landscaping and floral improvement of urban spaces this year. The contract value exceeds 177 million rubles. The contractor will not only plant decorative plants but also provide round-the-clock care for them throughout the entire growing season. According to the technical specifications, it is planned to use salvia, begonia, gazania, petunia, dahlias, and other types of flower seedlings for greening. The project also includes vertical structures for planting and automatic irrigation systems. In case of plant death, the contractor is obliged to replace them within three days. The contract is valid until December 31, 2026. The customer is the city management of landscaping. Funds are allocated from the municipal budget. The results of the auction will be announced soon. The application deadline is May 12. The winner will present a design project for the decoration. Major work will begin after warm weather sets in, presumably at the end of May. Special attention will be paid to central highways, parks, recreation areas, and entrance groups. Last year, about 150 million rubles were allocated for these purposes. The budget increase is related to the rising costs of planting materials and logistics. The contractor must also monitor soil quality and adhere to agronomic standards. During dry periods, watering is allowed only at night. The Public Chamber will participate in the acceptance of work. This will allow citizens to monitor the expenditure of budget funds. The results of 2026 will form the basis for the long-term greening strategy of Kazan.
