The government will allocate 50 billion rubles for the launch of chemical production in Nizhnekamsk.
In Russia, plans are underway to create a full-cycle production of synthetic fibers, threads, and polymers used in the light industry. This was reported by the Russian Government's channel at MAKS. The government will allocate nearly 50 billion rubles to subsidize the loan for the implementation of this project. Production will be organized at the "Taneko" base in Nizhnekamsk. There, a full cycle of polyethylene terephthalate production will be established – a polymer used in the production of packaging, films, and other products. In addition, the enterprise will produce various types of synthetic threads and fibers in demand in the light industry, including for fabric production. The project has become the largest among those supported under the subsidized loan mechanism of the cluster investment platform. Its implementation is part of the national project "New Materials and Chemistry," aimed at ensuring technological leadership. The Chairman of the Government, Mikhail Mishustin, noted that the project, in his expectations, will strengthen the foundation of economic growth by increasing the number of its own high-tech developments with high added value. He also emphasized that the implementation of the initiative will create new jobs, including at related enterprises.
