The issues of gardeners were discussed in the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan.
A round table dedicated to the implementation of the republican program to support non-profit gardening associations was held in the State Council of Tatarstan. The meeting was initiated by representatives of the CPRF faction, the press service of the republic's parliament reports.
The discussion was attended by State Duma deputy Artyom Prokofyev, head of the CPRF faction in the State Council Hafiz Mirgalimov, deputy chairman of the State Council Committee on Ecology, Natural Resource Management, Agro-Industrial and Food Policy Nazip Khazipov, deputy minister of agriculture and food of Tatarstan Rustem Gainullov, as well as representatives of district executive committees and gardening associations.
As Hafiz Mirgalimov noted, there are a number of problems in the sphere of non-profit gardening associations, including those related to environmental and fire safety, as well as the condition of roads. According to him, these issues require not only a regional but also a federal approach, as well as adjustments to existing legislation. In addition, the decisions made, he emphasized, must be backed by necessary funding.
He reported that, according to available data, there are about 1,500 non-profit gardening associations operating in Tatarstan. In turn, Artyom Prokofyev noted that the topic under discussion affects the interests of a large number of citizens in the country.
"Gardening in Russia is not just a form of leisure. For many people, it is a source of food and environmental security, and sometimes the only opportunity to manage a household and provide for a family. This is especially important for the older generation," he reminded.
In the opinion of the State Duma deputy, issues related to the activities of non-profit gardening associations require special attention at both the regional and federal levels. He also emphasized that most of the problems faced by gardeners are complex and related to both infrastructure development and waste management issues.
As Prokofyev summarized, a significant portion of the issues in this area lies at the intersection of the powers of different levels of government and agencies, which is why gardeners often encounter bureaucratic procedures, difficulties in documentation, and a lack of clear solutions. He noted that holding a round table allows not only to identify existing problems but also to hear the positions of relevant agencies and proposals for their resolution, as well as the opinions of the gardeners themselves.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Rustem Gainullov presented a report on the progress of the state support program for gardeners in the republic. Following the discussion, the participants of the round table approved the corresponding resolution.
