The state awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan were presented by the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, to the most distinguished residents of Tatarstan. The award ceremony took place in the Kazan Kremlin and was timed to coincide with the celebration of May 1 and Victory Day on May 9. Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that in the Year of Military and Labor Valor, ceremonies honoring outstanding workers and defenders of the Fatherland are held throughout Tatarstan. "These events are aimed at strengthening respect for labor and military service, preserving historical memory, and educating the youth with examples of true heroes," he said. The President of the Republic emphasized that despite all challenges and difficulties, Tatarstan continues to develop sustainably and maintains leading positions among the regions of the Russian Federation in key macroeconomic indicators. "Significant positive transformations in the republic are occurring in the fields of education and healthcare, culture and youth policy, and social protection. Undoubtedly, the implementation of large-scale projects aimed at improving the quality of life for our citizens would not be possible without the support of the President of Russia, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, and the Government of the Russian Federation," said Rustam Minnikhanov.
With special feeling, Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed the esteemed veterans, including participant of the Great Patriotic War Alexey Ivanovich Pisarev, who was present in the hall. The President of Tatarstan expressed deep gratitude to the military personnel present in the hall – natives of the republic who bravely fulfill their military duty in the special military operation zone. "Support for the fighters ensuring the security of the Motherland is always at the center of our attention," emphasized Rustam Minnikhanov. Today, this hall gathered professionals, masters of their craft, all those who have been awarded high state honors – labor veterans, oil workers, cultural figures, builders, lawyers, and workers in education and healthcare, agriculture, and housing and communal services. "Your achievements testify to the harmonious development of all sectors of the economy of our republic," said Rustam Minnikhanov, addressing those present. "You are the pride and example for labor collectives, for your children and grandchildren." Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated everyone on their well-deserved awards.
