      On April 30, Thursday, a meeting took place at the Kazan-Bogoroditsky Monastery in the city of Bugulma between Bishop Metody of Almetyevsk and Bugulminsk and restoration artists. During the meeting, the Bishop became acquainted with the continuation of the work on the painting of the Cathedral Church of the Kazan-Bogoroditsky Monastery in Bugulma.

      Let us remind you that the Kazan-Bogoroditsky Monastery in Bugulma was closed in 1931, after which penitentiary system institutions were located on its territory. The bell tower was blown up, and the cells were turned into prison cells.

      For the first time, believers entered the Kazan-Bogoroditsky Church on August 28, 2012. On that day, Bishop Metody, in the presence of the clergy of the diocese, held a moleben.

      On September 21, 2014, a Divine Liturgy was held in the Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God for the first time in the last 70 years. The service was led by Bishop Metody. On December 22, 2021, during the feast of the icon of the Mother of God "Unexpected Joy," the archpastor performed the great consecration of the central altar of the Cathedral Church.

      As of today, work continues on the restoration of the wall paintings of the Cathedral Church of the monastery.
