The famous first builder of Nizhnekamsk, Rafail Glyantz, passed away at the age of 92.

      In Nizhnekamsk, at the age of 91, the famous first builder of the city, Rafail Glyantz, passed away. The head of the district, Radmir Belyaev, announced his death on his Telegram channel. "Rafail Grigoryevich was not only a strong professional but also a person with inner strength, respect for people, and true dedication to his work. For many years he served the city as a deputy and a member of the executive committee, always remaining involved and compassionate. He was and will forever remain an honorary citizen of Nizhnekamsk. I express my sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. Eternal memory," he wrote. Glyantz was born on December 27, 1934, in a craftsman's family in the Polish city of Włocławek. After Poland was occupied by fascist Germany, his family moved to the USSR. In the 1960s, Glyantz was appointed chief engineer of the new construction and installation management No. 46 for the construction of Nizhnekamsk. Until 2018, he oversaw housing and social infrastructure construction in the city. For the next four years, he held the position of advisor to the director of the construction department of the management for the construction of industrial infrastructure of PJSC "Nizhnekamskneftekhim." Under his leadership and direct participation, more than 3.5 million square meters of housing, 69 kindergartens, 31 schools, four hospital complexes, the sports and cultural complex "Ice Palace," and other facilities were built in the city. Glyantz was awarded high state honors and titles, including "Honored Builder of the RSFSR."
