      A meeting was held at the Government House of Tatarstan under the leadership of the Republic's head Rustam Minnikhanov, where the progress of spring fieldwork and the situation in livestock farming for the first quarter of 2026 were discussed. The report was presented by the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov. According to the ministry, winter crops and perennial grasses have been fertilized on 580 thousand hectares, which is 73% of the plan. The sowing campaign has engaged 36 districts, with about 60 thousand hectares sown, mainly with early spring crops. Approximately 20 thousand hectares are sown daily, which is lower than the figures of previous years. In livestock farming, revenue for the first three months of the year amounted to 50 billion rubles, of which 35 billion comes from the livestock sector. There is an increase in the production of livestock and poultry, as well as eggs, while income from milk has decreased due to falling purchase prices. In several districts, the highest growth in milk production has been recorded, as well as changes in livestock numbers: the number of poultry and pigs has increased, while the total number of cattle has decreased.
