This is 13 billion more than in 2024. Guests of the republic most often visit the Kazan Kremlin, the island-town of Sviyazhsk, Yelabuga, and Great Bolgar. The launch of the M12 highway section to Yekaterinburg changed transportation logistics and made Kazan more accessible for travelers by car from the eastern regions of the country. The increase in car travelers became one of the main reasons for the increase in tourist flow. Overall in Russia, car tourists accounted for 60 percent of the increase, and in Tatarstan, this share is also very significant.
