      In Kazan, the XI All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Readings in the Name of Shigabutdin Marjani" has concluded its work. Within the framework of the forum, dedicated to Tatar theological thought and issues of citizenship, thematic sections actively worked, in which teachers, staff, and students of the Academy participated. Special attention was given to the section "Current Issues of Islamic Theology," which took place at the Kazan representation of the Bulgarian Islamic Academy. The moderator of the section was Islam Hazrat Zaripov, head of the Center for Quranic Studies of the Academy, imam-khatib of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque, and senior researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In his welcoming speech to the participants of the section, the first deputy chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation, rector of the Moscow Islamic Institute Damir Hazrat Mukhetdinov thanked the leadership of the Bulgarian Islamic Academy for their assistance in organizing and conducting the forum. He highly appreciated the Academy's contribution to the development of Islamic science and theology in Russia, noting the fruitful cooperation. Within the section, reports were presented on current issues of Islamic education and thought. The acting vice-rector for scientific activities of the Academy, Aynur Sultanov, presented an overview of the development of the system of higher professional Muslim religious education in Russia. The theme "Ijtihad in Modern Russia: The Role of Fiqh Methodology in Solving Current Problems" was presented by the Academy's teacher Saif al-Asri. The Sheikh emphasized the need for deep scientific inquiry to respond to modern societal challenges. The head of the Quranic center "Zayd bin Thabit" at the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Volga Region, doctoral student Ilyas Ilyasov, drew colleagues' attention to the theoretical and methodological problems of the terminological apparatus of Quranic studies. Doctoral student Jaloluddin Fazilov analyzed the process of developing theological thought in Russia as a factor in strengthening spiritual and moral values and the unity of peoples, using the activities of the Academy as an example. The phenomenon of religious radicalism was discussed by the Academy's master's student Rajab Abutov. In the section "Historical and Cultural Heritage of Islam in Russia," the specialist from the Academy's Public Relations and Media Department, Ilmira Gafiyatullina, shared with colleagues the advantages and challenges of digitalization of religious education in Russian regions. In particular, she noted that digital technologies provide a unique opportunity to make religious education more accessible, modern, and effective. The main thing here is to use the opportunities while remaining true to spiritual values. "Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, and Dagestan demonstrate impressive dynamics, turning into centers of Islamic digital thought. For several years now, the 'Online Madrasah' project has been successfully operating in Tatar and Russian languages in Tatarstan, a specialized school for memorizing the Quran in an online format has been opened in Dagestan, and the 'Digital Imam' project is being implemented in Bashkortostan. All these activities in the online space not only give young people the opportunity to obtain reliable knowledge from anywhere in the world but also make charity simpler and more transparent," emphasized Ilmira Gafiyatullina. In turn, the head of the Department for Organizing the Admission of Applicants and Employment of Graduates – the responsible secretary of the Academy's admissions committee, Bayazit Zaidullin, presented on the topic "Between Faith and Time: Religious Motifs in Tatar Drama at the Beginning of the 21st Century." During the report, he acquainted colleagues with the study of religious motifs in Tatar drama at the beginning of the 21st century based on the works of Tufan Minnullin, Rkail Zaidullin, Zulfat Hakim, and other authors. "It can be said that Islam in modern Tatar drama acts not only as a religious system but also as a spiritual code of the people, a means of preserving historical memory, cultural continuity, and national self-awareness," summarized Bayazit Zaidullin.
