This was stated to journalists at the "Kazan Forum" by the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Alexey Overchuk. "They talk about the desire to get closer to the European Union. At some point, they will have to make a choice between the EAEU and the European Union. For our part, we will certainly try to convey to our colleagues the problems that may arise in this regard," he said. Overchuk noted that a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will take place on May 29. "Apparently, this issue will also be discussed there in some form," he emphasized. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Armenia is a country very close to Russia. "This is a country allied with us. Even simple human connections unite us; they are very deep, serious, and longstanding. We have great respect for the people of Armenia. And, as President Vladimir Putin said, we will understand any choice that Armenia makes," he concluded.
