KIU – a driver of science and tourism in Volga-Kama: the international triumph of the conference in Chistopol
In Chistopol, a grand scientific event took place: the International Scientific and Practical Conference "VOLGA-KAMYA: HISTORY, SOCIAL-CULTURAL HERITAGE AND PROSPECTS" was held at the Cultural Center "Chistay," organized at the initiative of the head of the Chistopol municipal district by the Chistopol branch of Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov.
Representatives of government bodies, scientists, experts, the business community, representatives of the socio-cultural sphere, education, clergy, and more than 650 participants and guests from over 46 cities in Russia and abroad took part in the conference. Guests included attendees from Moscow, Kirov, Murmansk regions, Udmurt Republic, Perm Krai, Voronezh, Chelyabinsk regions, Donetsk People's Republic, Republic of Cuba, Belarus, and Italy.
The conference has been held for the fourth time with the support of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism, the Committee for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites, and the Republican Public Movement "Tatarstan - New Century." Based on the international conference, a platform has been created for studying, preserving, and utilizing historical and cultural heritage, developing and practically implementing tourism development projects in the region, where promising directions for socio-economic development are determined on a scientific and expert basis for both Chistopol and the entire Volga-Kamya region.
Welcoming words were addressed to the participants and guests by: the rector of Kazan Innovative University Asiya Vitalievna Timiryasova, the head of the Chistopol municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan Dmitry Alekseevich Ivanov, Honorary Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Khayrullovich Mukhametshin, a delegation of scientists from the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites Guliya Fidailovna Kamaletdinova, the Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kazan Xiang Bo, Honorary Professor of UNESCO in Udine (Italy) Franco Claudio Grossi, a deputy of the Kazan City Duma, director of the Center for Contemporary Music Sofia Gubaidulina Garifullina Layla Ildarovna, Dean of the Faculty of History and Intercultural Communications of Gomel State University named after F. Skorina (Gomel) Cherepko Stanislav Alexandrovich, and many others. The moderator of the plenary session was the director of the Chistopol branch of Kazan Innovative University Zalyalova Dinara Nailevna.
A pleasant bonus for the conference guests was a concert by the orchestra of the Center for Contemporary Music named after Sofia Gubaidulina, as well as an excursion program.
The outcomes of the conference included new projects, partnerships, and a unified direction for the development of the entire Volga-Kamya region. This large-scale event once again proved: Kazan Innovative University is a powerful scientific and educational center capable of uniting scientists, experts, and opinion leaders from dozens of cities and countries around the world.
