      In Tatarstan, support for parents with young children continues. In the Republic of Tatarstan, more than 24.2 million rubles have been allocated for the payment of benefits for childcare up to one and a half years. This measure of state support helps families during one of the most responsible and important periods of life — in the first months and years after the birth of a baby. The right to receive benefits is not only for mothers but also for fathers, as well as other relatives or guardians who are actually taking care of the child. For working citizens, the benefit application process occurs simultaneously with the arrangement of parental leave. Non-working parents need to independently contact the Social Fund of Russia. Today, the amount of the monthly benefit for non-working citizens caring for a child is 10,669.64 rubles. At the same time, it is important to remember: if the benefit is received by an officially employed legal representative of the child, another representative will not be able to apply for the same benefit as a non-working citizen at the expense of federal budget funds. The benefit can be received in the most convenient way — through the state services portal. In most cases, no additional documents are required. If there is a need for their provision, the applicant will be sent a notification with a complete list of necessary documents. For non-working parents, the benefit application process is associated with a comprehensive assessment of the family's need: specialists analyze income and property status. However, the legislation provides for exceptions. Support is provided without a needs assessment to parents, relatives, and guardians who were dismissed during parental leave, mothers who lost their jobs during pregnancy or maternity leave due to the liquidation of the organization, as well as parents and guardians studying full-time in educational institutions. As noted by the manager of the Social Fund of Russia for Tatarstan, Eduard Vafin, the main task of the department is to make family support timely, accessible, and convenient. Fund specialists help clarify the procedure for applying for benefits, consult on documents, and accept applications both online through the "Gosuslugi" portal and in person — at client services and MFCs.
