In the Kazan metro, over 16.6 km of tunnels were cleaned in two weeks.

      In Kazan, over the past two weeks, more than 16.6 km of tunnels have been cleaned in the metro. The work was carried out using specialized equipment as well as manually, reported the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Metroelektrotrans." Thus, on the section "Ametyevo" – "Dubravnaya," more than 3,000 m of tunnels were cleaned by a tunnel washing unit along the second main track. On the line "Aviastroitel'naya" – "Yashlek," over 5.7 km were cleaned on the first main track, and on the stretch "Gorki" – "Dubravnaya," more than 1.6 km.

      In addition, specialists manually washed over 5,100 sq. m of track walls and troughs at the stations "Ploshchad Gabdully Tukaya," "Aviastroitel'naya," "Severny Vokzal," "Yashlek," and "Prospekt Pobedy." More than 1,000 m of tunnel were also manually cleaned on the stretch "Sukonnaya Sloboda" – "Ploshchad Gabdully Tukaya."

      Over the two weeks, employees also repaired 43 doors, replaced 107 tactile warning tiles at the "Yashlek" station, and 20 wall and floor granite tiles at the "Ploshchad Gabdully Tukaya" and "Severny Vokzal" stations. Additionally, 430 m of yellow warning stripes were updated at the "Aviastroitel'naya," "Severny Vokzal," "Yashlek," and "Gorki" stations. Furthermore, track distance employees in the electric depot replaced the insulation of 68 contact rail joints, repaired the suspensions of 64 contact rail joints in the tunnels, and restored 84 wooden sleepers.
