May 27 - the day of the founding of the TASSR: history and significance

      On May 27, 1920, a decree was signed establishing the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. This event marked the starting point of modern statehood in Tatarstan and defined the path of the republic's development within the RSFSR. On May 27, 1920, the Decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee on the establishment of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (TASSR) was signed. This event was pivotal in the history of Tatarstan, determining the further development of the republic within the RSFSR. The decree was signed by the Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars V. I. Lenin, Chairman of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee M. I.
