Immunization against tick-borne encephalitis has covered 9,950 people (72% of the plan). The Rospotrebnadzor office in the Republic of Tatarstan reminds that the most effective measure of protection against TBE is vaccination. During walks, it is advisable not to sit on the grass or walk through overgrown lawns, and to choose equipped pedestrian paths. It is recommended to treat exposed areas of the body and clothing with repellents to protect against bites. If a tick is found attached to a person, immediate measures should be taken to remove it.

      Removing an attached tick is best done in a medical organization: at a clinic in the place of residence, in the emergency room of a hospital, or in a trauma point.
