Now guests of Tatarstan can receive consultations by phone regarding consumer rights protection, as well as clarify information about sanitary and epidemiological requirements when visiting tourist sites and dining establishments.
In the Republic of Tatarstan, from May 25 to June 7, 2026, a special hotline is available for residents and guests of the region, aimed at helping tourists navigate issues of safety and quality of summer recreation in the area. The organizers are the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing in the Republic of Tatarstan and the regional Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology. Anyone who contacts the hotline will be able to receive qualified consultations free of charge on a wide range of relevant issues, including consumer rights protection when checking into hotels and visiting restaurants, compliance with sanitary and epidemiological standards, and recommendations on how to behave properly in conditions of abnormal heat, how to eat safely in public places, and what to pay attention to when choosing swimming spots. Assistance can be requested at the number 8 (800) 555-49-43, which operates around the clock, or at the phone number (843) 221-90-16, available on weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM, as well as directly at the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing in the republic during established working hours. It was reported the day before that, as a result of the first quarter of 2026, enterprises in the Volga Federal District increased cheese production by 4%, bringing the total output to 51.8 thousand tons, and now every fourth cheese head in the country has Volga origins. Tatarstan has become the leader in cheese production among all regions of the Russian Federation.
