More than 1,200 Kazan graduates are competing for the academic achievement medal.
At the end of the academic year, 1,279 graduates of the 11th grades of Kazan are competing for the medal "For Special Achievements in Learning" – 21% of the total number of eleventh graders. This was reported at the business Monday by the head of the education department of the city executive committee, Irek Rizvanov.
A total of 718 students are competing for the first-degree medal, and 561 for the second-degree medal. Compared to last year, the number of candidates for the first-degree medal has increased by 12.4%, and for the second-degree medal by 8.1%.
In addition, 1,127 students can receive a certificate of distinction based on their results in the 9th grade.
This year, a total of 23,076 graduates are undergoing state final certification in Kazan. Of these, 16,110 are finishing the 9th grade, and another 6,966 are finishing the 11th grade. In total, 181,196 students from urban schools completed the academic year.
The admission campaign in Russian universities will start on June 20. Applicants will be able to submit applications for targeted training through the "Work in Russia" platform. This format provides for a monthly scholarship of 15,000 rubles and guaranteed employment after graduation.
According to Rizvanov, over the past five years, 229 Kazan graduates have enrolled in pedagogical specialties through targeted training. Already on September 1, 37 young specialists will begin working in the city's schools.
Let us remind you that the main period of state final certification will last until June 19, and the city graduation evening for Kazan schoolchildren is scheduled for June 25.
