      The volume of Tatar literature from the series "Library of Literary Masterpieces of the Peoples of Russia," which includes works by the hero-poet Musa Jalil, is planned to be released next year, in 2027. This was announced by the director of the A. M. Gorky Institute of World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Vadim Polonsky, at a meeting of the Council for the Support of the Russian Language and the Languages of the Peoples of the Russian Federation. "At the moment, in collaboration with colleagues from Kazan and Vladikavkaz, we are actively working on the first two volumes of the series: the volume of Tatar literature (Musa Jalil) and the volume of literature from the North Caucasus (Ossetian literature, Kosta Khetagurov)," the director of the Institute of World Literature reported. According to Vadim Polonsky, the selected works for both volumes are already fully prepared for scientific publication. By the end of this year, it is expected to complete the scientific work on them and move on to editing and proofreading, and next year, the compilers of the series hope to "publish and distribute these volumes." At the same time, the head of the Institute of World Literature explained that currently, the scholars working on the series plan to prepare and release 20 volumes within its framework. Six of them will be dedicated to the literatures of the peoples of the Volga region, the Ural region, and the Urals, seven to the peoples of the North Caucasus, six to the peoples of Siberia, the North, and the Far East, and one to the Northwest of Russia. "One national literature will be represented by one writer, who has the reputation of being its founder or classic," Polonsky clarified, explaining that the cultural wealth of Russia is limitless, while the capabilities of the project team have natural limits. Russian President Vladimir Putin considered the launch of the book series dedicated to national literatures a significant event. "<...> it is no less significant to launch the preparation for the publication of the book series 'Library of Literary Masterpieces of the Peoples of Russia' this year," he noted.

      The director of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication of Kazan Federal University, head of the Center for Native Languages and Cultures of the Peoples of the Russian Federation of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Radif Zamaletdinov, participated in the meeting of the Council for the Support of the Russian Language and the Languages of the Peoples of the Russian Federation.
