Psychologists from the Zainsk Central District Hospital participated in two online seminars dedicated to supporting HIV-infected patients and preventing suicidal behavior.
The specialists of the psychological service at the Zainsk Central District Hospital continue to systematically enhance their professional qualifications by mastering modern forms and methods of working with patients. The next stage of training was participation in specialized webinars focused on relevant issues of psychological assistance to the population. On May 29, medical psychologists Regina Mikhailovna Galimova, Valentina Veniaminovna Farkhutdinova, and Helena Viktorovna Tsymbal took part in online training organized by the Republican Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS and Infectious Diseases of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The first part of the educational program was dedicated to organizing social and psychological support for HIV-infected patients, as well as working with children and families affected by HIV/AIDS. In modern conditions, psychological support has become a crucial part of comprehensive medical care, helping patients cope with stress, stigmatization, and social difficulties.
The training took place on the Zoom platform and was divided into two intensive parts of 30 minutes each. The specialists examined practical aspects of working with vulnerable population groups and discussed the experience of the Medical and Social Rehabilitation Organization Department (MSRD) of Kazan. Special attention was paid to establishing a trusting relationship with patients and increasing adherence to treatment.
On the same day, psychologists participated in another online seminar on the topic: "Suicidology and Suicidal Behavior." The training aimed to deepen knowledge in the early detection of suicidal risks and improve practical skills in providing emergency psychological assistance. The competencies gained will be used in providing psychological assistance to the population and preventing crisis situations.
Psychologists from the Zainsk Central District Hospital noted the high level of organization and practical value of both training events.
"It was a very intensive and useful seminar. Excellent training. Everything was presented concisely and clearly. The knowledge gained will definitely be applied in our daily work with patients," shared medical psychologist Regina Galimova.
Colleagues emphasized that the new approaches will help build more trusting relationships with patients and their families who find themselves in difficult life situations, as well as enhance the effectiveness of psychological and social rehabilitation in the area.
The continuous professional development of specialists remains an important part of the healthcare system's work, especially in sensitive areas such as supporting patients with chronic infectious diseases and preventing crisis situations.
