This issue was discussed at a meeting between the republic's head Rustam Minnikhanov and VK's CEO Vladimir Kirienko on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. It is expected that the digital ID will allow for age verification of users when renting scooters. As Kirienko noted, a similar mechanism is already in place in Moscow, where citizens aged 16 and older can use the service.

The meeting also discussed the development of cooperation between Tatarstan and VK in the field of digital technologies. According to Kirienko, the project implemented by the company to translate internet portals into the Tatar language has about 100,000 unique users.
