      Chelny wrestlers collected the main prizes at several district Sabantuy events in Tatarstan. The athletes brought home a car, a mini-tractor, and traditional rams. 30-year-old Ranis Gilyazetdinov became the absolute champion of the Sabantuy in Zelenodolsk. For his victory, he was awarded a Lada Granta car and a ram. This year, the tournament was made open, allowing athletes from different cities and districts of the republic to compete for the main prize. A total of about 70 participants registered for the competition. For the residents of Chelny, the name Ranis is well-known – he has reached the finals of the city Sabantuy multiple times and is considered one of the strongest wrestlers in the Koryesh school in the automotive city. Gilyazetdinov became the absolute champion of Chelny in 2019, 2022, and 2024.

      Another Chelny athlete, Azat Gabdrashitov, distinguished himself at the Sabantuy in the Kaybitsky district. The international-class wrestling master won the title of absolute champion and received several prizes – a ram, a television, and keys to a mini-tractor. Recall that in 2025, Gabdrashitov became the absolute champion of the Sabantuy in Naberezhnye Chelny. At that time, he was awarded a ram and a Soueast S07 car. In the finals, he faced Ranis Gilyazetdinov for the second consecutive year.

      The brothers Fazyl and Rayaz Sibgatullins also performed successfully at the Sabantuy in the Aktanysh district. The young athletes became the best in their categories and received rams. The brothers train at the "Vityaz" sports school under the guidance of their father, Ilshat Sibgatullin. Last year, all three brothers occupied the entire podium at the Chelny Sabantuy.
