      Two days earlier, another incident occurred in the city of Chistopol. A resident of house No. 100 on Oktyabrskaya Street was hospitalized for poisoning. The man, having opened the gas stove tap to ignite it, was unable to light the gas due to a sudden heart attack.

      Over the weekend, five cases of gas leaks were recorded in the republic. In Kazan, leaks occurred at the following addresses: Novosvetlaya Street, house No. 11, and Pobedy Avenue, house No. 164. In the settlement of Vysokaya Gora, leaks were found at the following addresses: Egorova Street, house No. 2, and Stationnaya Street, houses No. 4 and 8. In all cases, gas supply was suspended until violations were rectified.

      The housing inspection of Tatarstan is investigating all identified incidents. In the case of Nurlat, special attention will be paid to checking the chimney caps for the presence of grates and umbrellas that protect against the entry of foreign objects and precipitation. The goal of the inspections is to identify the causes of incidents, eliminate violations, and prevent similar cases in the future.
